As I imagined, turning ffff, fffff, iiiiiii, ffffff,,,, well you know the number - wasn't near as bad as dreading it all year was. Frugalmom - I didn't have a cake. My sweet husband took me to the best burger joint in town for lunch. Bullets! They make a mean burger and it was even better than a birthday cake. But if I had to put candles on it, well, we would have burned the place down! Cotton Lady - I agree with you. I feel a freedom I've never felt before. Now I feel I can just be me and if anyone complains I can just say "Well what do you expect from a woman my age?" And my dear cousin Julie, yes, I did get much joy out of my birthday, but it wasn't near as much joy as I got out of YOU turning 50!!!! Now THAT was fun! You know I love you, cuz. Lordy, all this typing has worn me plum out. Thank you for all the good wishes.
