Ok, I'm officially jealous now. Goats, a goat barn, a new deck, a lovely lil greenhouse.... wow! I can see why you are so squirmy to get past winter. :)

Wow that sounds fantastic. That is going to be one beautiful deck. If it looks as good as everything else around your homestead it is doing to fit in nicely. My husband, step-son, and dad added onto our little deck off our mudroom so we could put our jacuzzi on instead of on the ground. But your huge deck sounds extra special. Bless you for thinking of poor Diesel, he is lucky to have a good momma like you.

CeeCee - aw honey, there really, really is. This winter really may eventually end. YAY!

Cristy - I put pots of tomatoes and peppers in there and we ate veggies off of them through October and into November. My herbs lasted about that long, and look as though they *may* come back. The rest are flowers and bulbs. It was my first winter with the greenhouse and I am very, very pleased.

Farmgirl - you are so right. As they say, our future is so bright we need sun shades! Ha! I am very excited to see things rolling again. This snow had us at a standstill for a while. And doesn't that rhubarb look so danged cute and cozey? I really hope it makes it. I'm a little concerned that the snow kept it from getting here for so long. I hope it didn't freeze...... even though B says he thinks they can take freezing. I'll let you know how they do. Thank you!

Lilla - it's all very exciting for sure! I can not wait for that deck - it means less mud in the house. And it means an easier way for Diesel to get in and out. There will only be one or two steps on one end, and we can put in a ramp if that's too hard for him. I am very, very happy.

Lots going on at your homestead, even with all the snow! That deck is going to be awesome. I bet you'll practically live out there in the summer. Can't wait to see the goat house, and of course, the goats! It's all very exciting, isn't it?

Snowmageddon! Ha ha ha ha...isn't THAT the truth!
But look at the huge strides you guys have made in the last little bit - that must feel SO good...and, you have so much to look forward to! Decks, goat houses, GOAT BABIES, spring, visitors from Germany...the list just goes on and on!
Hey, the rhubarb survived its cross-country journey - I'm so glad to see this :-)
