Each afternoon I open the entrance to the goat barn and bring Georgia and Mirrie out into the yard to play and browse for a while. And each afternoon, their first stop is the milking/storage area where Mirrie tries to get at the sweet feed, and Georgia nibbles a little hay.
Today, they took off running like crazy once they got outside.
They were in a great hurry to get somewhere.
Ah, I see. They needed to get to this tree before it got away.
Georgia struck out on her own.
Mirrie refused to be left behind.
Good thing, too. Georgia found a tasty oak leaf.
And Mirrie found a small tree in need of pruning.
Georgia struck a profile pose for me.
And then they begged some carrots off of me.
Before too long, it was time to head back to the goat barn. They weren’t very enthusiastic about going back in, until I promised a little sweet feed as a reward. That got them moving.
It’s never easy walking away from these little faces though.

Love the new photo’s of the girls!!! Sweet Faces they shore got.
Looks like they had a blast running around.
Awww! They are so danged happy at your place!!!! I love it! I love how their ears flop when they run.
They are so danged cute and happy! You are such a wonderful mommie!
Ha! Those ears flapping around like that look just like pony tails….maybe you should tie some ribbons on them and take a sweet picture of them being little girls…..running and playing.
They have so much room to run and play out there…its no wonder they dont want to go back in their house…thats not nearly as fun.
I’m here to comment on the ears, too.
Such pretty girls with such enormous ears…they almost have a life of their own. I almost expected them to gain a little altitude as they were running down that hill so fast! lol
How big will Georgia and Mirrie get, Penny? It’s hard to tell from the photos, but I’m thinking they’re already bigger than my Pete and Reggie. If we ever do a goaty playdate, we’ll have to come to your house because I think our goathouse is already too small!!
Farmgirl – These girls are Nubien/Saanen mix. So they’ll get as big as their ears
But now come on – I’ve seen Pete and Reggie’s ears a-flappin’ in pictures before! Not quite enough to gain any sort of altitude, but flappin’ none-the-less
Ok, so the first goaty playdate will be here – but NO EAR BITING! *snort*
What cuties, I love how they get to run all over.
They are so sweet! I found an add in the paper for 2 little goats that are FREE!! So now along with my 7 baby pigs I wonder if I can convince Hubby to let me have some goats too? Is that asking too much?
)
Enjoy your little goats… and keep sharing the pictures I love them.
Just too cute and sweet! I know you are enjoying them alot. Our two little goaties will come to the farm in late May, early June. Can’t wait. Glad to see the pictures, Penny.
Blessings!

Aww they’re like puppies! Just as cute and playful. Are Diesel and Dolly jealous???
Love the babies. It is so much fun spoiling them.
made my morning!! love those flying goat ears.
Great, now I want goats in addition to donkeys! I think it’s the ears.
Isn’t it funny how they love to run and play. Just like humans.
So cute
they are SO cute! dontcha just love their running skips and hops and pops!?!! thats why i call our babies the “skip poppers”!
great work!
They look happy and healthy. And look at all the browse, Goat Heaven! The pictures are beautiful and so are the girls. What fun to see them playing.
OH MY! I just love reading everyone’s blog posts about their goats!! I can’t wait until we have found our farm and can have goats. We’re still researching and trying to decide on which breed is best for us. Tough decision. Georgia and Mirrie are just adorable!
They are so stinking adorable, I can imagine you can’t wait to visit them every morning, once you’ve had your coffee of course.
I love all the pics you took of them running and playing, how cute!!!
oh oh oh oh…… oh just look at those little faces… oh oh oh…
