A Very Special Day
November 23rd, 2009We’ve been waiting for this day with great anticipation.
Today is our birthday and we are one year old!
We started the day with a birthday kiss.
And Mom’s been in the kitchen baking our birthday cake.
Hey! Did you add our favorite icing to it???
Ah…. yes you did!
I love birthday cakes!
And I love being served birthday cake in bed!
Wait. This is worth standing up for.
Where the heck did all my cake go?
I think Diesel needs a little help with his birthday cake.
Hooooowwwwwwlll. Happy Birthday to uuuuuuusssssss.

Happy Birthday Dolly and Diesel!!!! Hope you have a super great day….and knowing your Mommy and Dad that’s just what you’ll have!
Penny the first thing I thought of when I saw the pictures of Dolly is how much she looks like Bo did?
They are beautiful pups, I didn’t know Diesel was a singer;0)
You are the greatest Mommy ever!

Jocelyn - Diesel has quite the voice. He can sing with the best of ‘em. And he hits those high notes just perfectly.
Cotton Lady - they had a great birthday. And they really love their cake. Even though it rained all day, we took them for a long walk through the woods and they ran and played for quite a while.
Frugalmon - You really should try the birthday cake in bed thing. Diesel just swears by it. In fact, he insists on it…..
Julie - I think it was a wonderful birthday all the way around. Diesel really likes to sing the Happy Birthday song. And I agree, Dolly does look a lot like Bo. And she really is as sweet as him too. We’ve got two pretty good pups. And they remind me of that every stinkin’ day

They are both so precious… Happy Birthday to Dolly & Diesel!!!
You are a much better pup mummy than I… I don’t think I’ve ever made them their own special cake. But they do get special homemade dog biscuits! I love the pic of Diesel singing, too cute.
Hoping you guys all have a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving.

Oz Girl - Well, if I made homemade dog biscuits half as good as yours, my pups wouldn’t even want their own birthday cake! Seriously. Happy belated birthday Diesel and Dolly! My gosh how big they’ve gotten, Penny! And that cake…was it really cake or something doggie specific? Don’t take offense to this, but that icing reminded me of that devil’s ham potted meat, which I am sure they would love! D&D are certainly two of the luckiest pups in the world to have such fuss over their birthdays. Lucky, lucky pups!

Lilla - it was a Peanut Butter Carrot cake, especially for pups http://www.party-photo-favors.com/dog_birthday_cake_recipes.htm and don’t worry - I agree with you on the looks of that icing! I actually just grated up some of their jerky treats, and then dumped in a tablespoon or two of plain yogurt and stirred for the icing. They REALLY loved their cake!

Happy birthday to your boys!! I’m glad they enjoyed their cake and I’m sure they showered you with kisses in thanks for it.
